
Hi! Here's a bit about Mrs. Binita Bandyopadhyay
As a practicing Graphic artist Mrs. Binita Bandyopadhyay needs no introduction to the plethora of art lovers.
​
Completing her bachelors and masters degree in graphics and print making from Visva Bharati, Santiniketan in 1994 and 1996 respectively she is devotedly practicing at the myriad Graphics studio of her own to offer a spectrum of rendition. Bestowed with many honours and awards Binita is considered to be one of the most promising Graphics artists in the country today.
Her thematic diagram reflects her realization which gives birth to a quest for the passage for survival.
Oppression from the surroundings awakens the innate hostility and a valiant effort to control the same compels anyone to strive for self existence.
The dilemma of appearance of a character behind the mask and the lost identity caused her to ponder over the continuity of time.
According the consciousness regarding the time limit of one’s life will inspire to create a society true habitable and hospitable.
With immense potentialities over the technique of various medium like Lithography, Etching, Xylography, Serigraphy and inkjet, she uses them with a great flair. She never compromises the theme conceived with the limitation of a medium- rather than applying them judiciously or blending them in a mix-media presentation. Complex and colourful lithographic works, created by her allure the art appreciators.

Contribution to the Art field:
With the sole effort, the huge mural work of national importance of about 5000 Sq. ft. on the walls of Bokaro Thermal Power Station – ‘A’plant was saved from its proposed demolition. Bokaro Thermal Power Station – ‘A’ plant was a dream of our first Prime Minister Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru.
The mural work was crafted by Surendranath Kar . It was designed by Nandalal Bose which included ‘Alpana’ by Gouri Devi.
